October 5-11, 2008 is National 4-H Week. 4-H youth across Alaska will be "Keeping it Green" as they celebrate the week by raising awareness about environmental issues and initiating projects that make a positive difference in their communities.
In Alaska, nearly 3,000 kids and more than 1,100 youth and adult volunteers are actively involved in this hands-on program that emphasizes leadership, citizenship and life skills. Find out about 4-H in your community by contacting our agents.
In Alaska 4-H, we are celebrating our first "Give a Gift to Alaska 4-H" fundraising campaign. Help support the Alaska 4-H program's efforts in positive youth development and see a legacy continue in our great state!
